The soft rib on the outside of the collection offers a hand made look. Crafted of ironstone with a pin-firing technique which allows the entire bottom of the plate to be glazed, including the base. This process significantly reduces water absorption and increases chip resistance. 16 piece dinnerware set, service for 4, includes (4) each: 11-1/4 dinner plate, 9-1/4 inch salad plate, 8-1/2 inch (40 ounce) soup cereal bowl and 20 ounce mug. Microwave and dishwasher safe.

These dishes are a soft white and can pull a touch of cream which is what I wanted. Most dishes are either bright white or gray so I was having trouble finding something that worked. The design is clean, beautiful and simple. The bowls are perfect for pasta. I prefer a deeper bowl for cereals and soups. The mugs are deep and perfect to wrap your hands around. Very happy with my purchase."
