"I am very happy with these bowls. They are a good size for cereal or soup. They could even stand in as a small serving bowl in a pinch. Heavy stoneware, they feel quite substantial. Was surprised that the finish is a shiny gloss, not semi-gloss as I thought from the picture. They blend perfectly with my (whisper) Noritake Colorwave graphite dishes. The dash of teal and whimsical birds liven up the neutral look of the Noritake."
