"Very well weighted and balanced. It is elongated and elegant. It is very versatile because it looks modern at the same time as traditional, and goes with stoneware or china; my compliments to the designer! The planishing (hammered finish) marks also very lightly appear on the working end of the flatware; the only other time I have seen this was on an extremely pricey sterling pattern by Christofle. Having a degree in visual art and another in design, I'm extremely choosy about aesthetics, form, and function, and this pattern delighted me!"

Terrible functionality
"I purchase a set 2 months ago. I just tried to use it a few days ago. I understand why it's no longer available. I am going to attempt to return it. The teaspoon and the tablespoon are not designed to fit a person's mouth correctly you almost have to use it from the side. The times on the forks are so blunted that you can't even pick anything up from a plate with them. this is not just my opinion it's the opinion of the other three people that try to use the set. The design and look of it is absolutely beautiful but it is not functional."

"Puchased this Beautiful hammered flatware set directly from Mikasa versus other sources and no regrets. EXCELLENT service from Ben in CS who assisted me since I had problems with on-line ordering. I had another similar set from other manufacturer and this flatware set is far superior. I love the big dimples and sheen and elongated spoons which are nice for adults with small mouths and the small spoons are great for kids. The web picture somewhat makes the size look a bit smaller but the actual size is perfect. Each piece was individually wrapped and set was well packaged with fast delivery. I am totally happy with this purchase and product!"

"Smooth edges, thick and nicely weighted handles. Hammered finish catches the light prettily. Smooth, continuous transition between the knife handle and blade (no groove between the two). Narrow spoon bowls fit nicely into the mouth (likely a less appealing shape, however, if you want to sip your soup from the side). No rust from the dishwasher. I would like a slightly longer handle on the teaspoon, but this size is probably better for staying put on a saucer. Overall, this pattern looks good, feels good, and works well for casual or dressier occasions. Very pleased."
