The soft rib on the outside of the collection offers a hand made look. Crafted of ironstone with a pin-firing technique which allows the entire bottom of the plate to be glazed, including the base. This process significantly reduces water absorption and increases chip resistance. 16 piece dinnerware set, service for four, includes (4) each: 11-1/4 inch dinner plate, 8-3/4 inch salad plate, 7 inch (22 ounce) soup cereal bowl and 18 ounce mug. "Excellent customer service for broken dish. Unfortunately the plates do not get clean in the dishwasher if they have ANY debris on them. May as well hand wash them. Not my dishwasher. No problem with previous plates. Plates are very large. They barely fit in my cabinet. Cups and bowls are a very odd shape. Only serving piece available is a very large platter."
"Got these last year- love them! The colors are elegant and they make everything look great. The swirl pattern gives it some texture, especially on the cups. These are useful every day and they look special for occasions. The only negative is that I have chipped a couple of pieces, but that's more on my handling of them than the quality of the product."
