"Plates arrived deeply scratched. I was out of town when they arrived and my daughter did not keep the box. So i am not sure if i can return them. Bummer! They look really nice in the picture. These plates were definitely not worth the price."
"This set is beautiful, light, but not fragile. I have accidentally banged it on the counter when loading it in the dishwasher and pieces survived unscathed. The reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they do not offer hombre pieces to match, i.e. serving bowl, fruit bowl, etc. It hasn't been terribly hard to find pieces that are extremely similar where at a glance you wouldn't be able to tell that they weren't from the same set but it would be nice to have some additional hombre pieces."
"I purchased four sets of dinnerware from Mikasa , as you see the price for each set is 160.00. They delivered in less then 24 hours , I don’t know how they did it so fast . When I opened the boxes, every box had defective dishes except the mugs . I am furious . With my experience buying dishes for last fifty years , I affirm that the dishes are factory seconds or by another name , irregular dishes . Every dinner plate had tiny bumps front and back , badly finished , it’s obvious that it’s not a regular dinner set . Mikasa is duty bound to disclose the quality — please be careful when you buy dishes from Mikasa directly . Please be mindful that I will never write false information about any company . I have purchased Mikasa dishes in the past and it’s the best but it was purchased from dept store . Mikasa do have outlet stores in California and outlets stores don’t sell the same quality dishes as regular department stores."
