The soft rib on the outside of the collection offers a hand made look. Crafted of ironstone with a pin-firing technique which allows the entire bottom of the plate to be glazed, including the base. This process significantly reduces water absorption and increases chip resistance.

I wish they worked out better
"A few pieces were broken when we got our 2 sets of these and we easily got them replaced. However since owning them for the last couple years the dishes show scratches easily. 3-4 of the salad/lunch plates have chipped and I dont even know how all but 1 got chipped (no children using them) more and more of the bowls are showing cracks in the glaze inside which traps stains and when not stained are just gray and ugly. And they're getting worse. The bowls are also a weird shape which makes them not stack very nicely in the cabinet or load in the dishwasher well. We barely ended up using the mugs due to the awkward shape and they feel fragile in the hand. The only pieces that seem somewhat ok other than some scratches are the dinner plates. I really wanted to like these because they looked nice but between all the issues with them, after only having them a couple years, Im just going to get something else."
