"I notice that Mikasa removed the Post that gave negative reviews . Mikasa sometimes sells factory seconds dishes at high price . I read several bad reviews , all complaining the issues ."
"I owned Mikasa dishes for last 40 years , I was very happy but recent purchase in December 2023 was unsatisfactory. We paid almost $400.00 but most of the dishes were irregular/ most of them had scratches, factory defects . We contacted the company , they want pictures of every defective dishes , this is almost impossible, also due to glare , picture don’t show detail irregularities. — out of 48 pieces , almost 30 pieces are irregular. I love the size and style of the dishes , dinner plates are big so are the bowls and salad plate, It’s Cobalt blue , made out of very good material but there’s something not right about final finish like glazing . It naturally doesn’t glaze until you keep polishing to see the beauty . I have dishes for fifty years , never had any problem nor it looked old after fifty years of use . I’m sure Mikasa is not aware the dishes have so much irregularities/ scratches since it was mailed directly from warehouse. I’m good faith , Mikasa must replace of those dishes . I will never ever speak bad any company unless the merchandises are defective . I love beautiful dishes . Please inspect your dishes careful ( take it outside to inspect) don’t inspect in dark room."
"Dishes do not match each other, there are defective with dimples and over run glazes. I could not keep them."
"I’ve been using this set for about 10 months. They come out of the dishwasher streaked and unless you only carefully touch the very edges, you will leave noticeable fingerprints on everything. I would have returned them, but the return postage would have too much. So, whenever I use them I’m reminded of how much I don’t like them. They are sturdy, as none have chipped, cracked, or broken."
"Everyone who comes over seems to like the look and feel of the plates. They do feel substantial and high-quality. I should point out the plates and bowls are rather large- almost oversized, and the plates themselves jut out past my cabinet, so the doors no longer close completely flush. It’s barely noticeable so I decided to keep the set."
"Dishes have weird pattern and do not match each other or the photos"
"This is my second time buy this dinnerware set (broke a few over the past 2-3 years). It is a classy design goes great with the earthy/natural stone look I have going on in my dining room. Highly recommend."
"I was very disappointed with my order. It looks nothing like the color or quality of the online pictures. I thought very highly of Mikasa; however, the quality of these plates were terrible. I’m glad I can get a refund, however, having to pay for return shipping is ridiculous since I felt I was scammed. What I saw online was absolutely nothing near to what I received. Several of my friends came by so I could confirm my opinion They agreed."
"Great customer service"
