2 dinner plates with cracks
"I purchased this set about a year ago at Costco. I only began using them about 6 months ago and now have 2 dinner plates with distinct cracks in the center. No chips on the edges. The cracks being seen after removing them from the dishwasher. This is too short a period of time for these dishes to be cracking. I emailed Mikassa and am hoping/expecting they do something to make this right."

Does not stand the test of time. . .
"We bought 2 sets of this dinnerware set at Costco a year ago (2023). We loved the design, they felt great, and had a comfortable weight to them. After a few months of use though things started to go downhill. We are a large family, there are 7 of us in the house and these dishes are being used A LOT. They are put through the dishwasher every night. Though they say dishwasher safe, after a year, they have almost no glaze and/or coating left on them. They have dark stains and scratches. The surface feels dry to the touch and there is a terrible "squeak" if you rub your finger on them and it's even worse if your fork hits it wrong. I contacted customer service to see about a possible refund, especially because they did not withstand use. But I felt like they tried to brush me off by having me take an absurd amount of pictures of the dishes, and I kept having to repeat what the issues were that we were having. I complied, and gave them all they wanted. After about a week of back and forth, they offered to send us a replacement of the same dishes. Though I appreciated the gesture, these dishes have not held up well and we do not want another set to only have the same issue. We have no choice but to buy a completely different set. I was hoping they would offer a refund since this was a $200 investment, but unfortunately they did not, and these were a complete waste of money for us."
