Not what it used to be
"I have this whole set and ordered more bowls to increase our count. The color is slightly different, and design in the ones we received is not crisp and clear - it is almost not discernable to the point my wife and I thought they might be fakes. I reached out to customer service, and the response might as well have been "Eh, oh well. ". I work in manufacturing and understand manufacture variances, but this is major - not minor - and some level of care or concern from the company would have been nice. The quality of the product and service was sub-par and that's very sad for such a longstanding company."

Worst packing for shipping I have ever seen
"The package arrived and I could here that it was broken. Three of the four bowls were totally smashed. I am not overstaying the they were broken to very small pieces. The box was not packed properly. It had tow small air pocket packs and a mildly crumpled piece of plastic which was completely inadequate to keep the inner box from moving. I paid for 4 bowls. I got one. I would tell anyone to never order from Mikasa --- terrible job of shipping package, never seen worse."
