SUBPAR QUALITY
"I have purchased Mikasa Italian Countryside for years, joyfully adding to my collection from different stores. I purchased this cake stand directly from Mikasa's website, along with several other pieces of the collection. So sad to say that these new items do not match the Italian Countryside design. I contacted Mikasa's customer service by email, including photos of my existing collection beside the newly received items. I was told that differences in manufacturing may exist but the quality is the same. No - the quality is subpar, as it does not match all the rest of my items. The color of the new Mikasa pieces is noticeably darker. The embossed pattern relief is noticeably lower and not as detailed. In the attached photos, my existing collection is on the bottom, and the newly received new items are on the top. These new pieces do not match - how does none set a table? Very disappointing that this heritage brand has lowered their standards."
