"I have purchased the Mikasa Italian Countryside pattern of dinnerware and serve ware for years from different stores, with no issues. I recently purchased some pieces directly from the Mikasa website. I was so disappointed to open the package and find the items do not match the rest of my collection! I contacted Mikasa customer service and included photos to show the differences. The color of the new items is noticeably darker. The embossed pattern relief is noticeably lower and not distinctly detailed. Customer service answered that there are manufacturing differences but the quality is the same. No - this heritage brand has lowered their standards and is producing subpar pieces. Such a shame!"
