Rusts after first wash.

"They looked so beautiful until I washed the set one time. They came out of the dishwasher with rust in the lines of every piece. I was so disappointed. I will be returning the set."

Rust Spots and Spotty Finish on “Stainless Steel”

"I had high hopes for this stainless steel flatware, but I’m disappointed with the quality. After only a few uses and washes in the dishwasher (with rinse aid), I noticed rust spots appearing. The flatware also comes out looking spotty, which is surprising for stainless steel. I checked reviews here and on Amazon (after purchasing...), and it seems I’m not the only one having these issues. For the brand and price, I expected better durability and performance. If you’re looking for true stainless steel quality, you may want to explore other options."

Mikasa Harmony Flatware

"I shopped around for a long time before finding these at Costco. I love the style and weight. Unfortunately after having them for about a month the knives are rusting. I realized that all the other pieces are stamped 18/10 except for the knives. I have to wonder if they are 18/0 which may explain the rust issue. I will be returning them."

Tarnish flatware

"I'm very disappointed. When I purchased this set it was seemed like it would be a great set that would hold up but I put them in the dishwasher and the knives tarnish. The knives only tarnish not anything else. I hate to purchase separate knives to add to this set but that what it looks like I have to do. I can't polish the knives only after every use. Poorly made. Do not purchase."

No problems after 8 years, nice pattern.

"I bought the full set of Harmony directly at the Mikasa store more than 8 years ago, and we've had no problems with rusting. When I had to buy a few replacement pieces from Replacements dot com, they look OK and haven't rusted, but are slightly different, too light, not perfectly balanced, spoons too short, fork tines too long, etc. But Mikasa didn't offer any replacements. If Mikasa is going to keep this line, I hope they'll begin to offer replacement pieces individually."
