Bowls no longer match previous French Countryside

"I've had these since I got married 25 years ago, been through several iterations of manufacturing in different countries, etc. , but this is the first time when the bowls and plates won't stack like they have done for decades. I am so disappointed. Whatever their current manufacturer is doing is much lower quality than previous manufacturers or locations. See in my photo the bottom 4 bowls are previous ones from varying years and manufacturing locations that all stack nicely together, and the 4 new ones on top do not stack with the old ones or with each other. They appear thicker than all the previous versions. I want them to make these like they were doing before."

Terrible quality compared to the

"Terrible quality compared to the many Mikasa dishes I already own. When I went to return them, the post cost as much as the dishes! So, now I am stuck with this reminder of Mikasa’s waning quality. Never again."

Buyer Beware! The current iteration

"Buyer Beware! The current iteration of the French Countryside pattern is not the same color or quality as the original which was made in Japan. It is more yellow/cream than the original white, and the glazing technique (said to be up to current standards) leaves a rough surface on the bottom rim so that it does not glide smoothly on your counter but scratches as it moves along. The original glaze covered the bottom rim as the bowl was held up in 3 tiny spots in the top 3rd of the outside of the bowl so the glaze would cover the bottom. I was so very disappointed! I requested prepaid return shipping as these were elements that could not be seen before receiving the product but was denied. My next step would be to report this business to the Better Business Bureau but at this point it is too much effort. The only redeeming quality is that the surface of the glaze appears to be strong, so if color and counter scratching do not matter to you, then you should like this traditionally elegant pattern."
