"I needed a new set of dinnerware to use for the holidays to accommodate large family gatherings (our other sets were only service for 8), and was looking for something in a 'neutral' color and style that could be mixed well with any color. I didn't want stark white. Out of the various Mikasa patterns I looked at, I liked the French Countryside pattern because of the simple, but elegant styling. I can create a rustic, farm style look with wood charger plates and earthy decorations, or dress my table in style with gold chargers and glass/metallic candle holders. French Countryside suits my style and personality."
