Look incredible but huge manufacturing inconsistencies.
"These glasses look amazing! But the looks don't compensate for the out of round, varying heights, angled rims, different diameters, and leaning. So large in diameter and heavy that none of the women that tested them out at our house wanted to use them, even for special occasion glasses. Really thick rims makes drinking difficult without dribbling. We wanted to love these but sent all but the stemless wine glasses back, which we kept only for candle holders! Initial Mikasa customer service was great and refund lined up but a manager intervened and says the manufacturing inconsistencies are normal and would not issue a shipping label for return. These are heavy and cost a lot to send back for any refund, all at my expense. We own hundreds of pieces of Mikasa for our home and rentals and have historically loved the brand, after this experience with the quality and customer service changing their minds mid-return, we'll be extra cautious on any future purchases. We do not recommend Swirl Glasses."

"I actually bought these at Cracker Barrel and drove to 2 different stores to get a full set! Wish I had thought to look here. These glasses are great. They are thick and yes, they are inconsistent, but it gives them a handmade feel. There is just a touch of sparkle. I got these glasses about 3 years ago and I haven't lost a single one yet to breakage--and it happens in this house with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 clumsy people...lol"
Very sturdy but...
"These glasses do not have enough of the gold. The glasses I received do not match, as far as the gold, what is pictured. Hardly any at all, mostly white. This is disappointing because I was replacing some that had lots of gold striping. They are however very thick and sturdy glasses.and should hold up better then the ones I am replacing. I will not buy these again because of the lack of gold stripes. I will go back to the other brand. Just a personal preference."
