Beautiful But Fragile

"We've had these wine glasses for some time, and they're beautiful and an improvement over old old stemmed wineglasses, whcih tipped over too easily. However, we found that they're somewhat fragile, and had a tendency to break in the dishwasher, despite being classified as dishwasher safe and placed inverted on an upper rack with other glassware (large piece(s) would break off the wineglasses). We just bought a new set of 4 from Amazon, and noted a recommendation to hand wash them, rather than use the dishwasher, which we'll be doing from now on, and see if that stops the breakage."
