Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lightweight with a cheap feel This product was disappointing. It was not the weight I was expecting based on other 18/10 stainless steel flatware that I have encountered. It felt cheap and was bendable. If you are looking for very lightweight flatware, you may like it. However, I returned it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, Elegant, Perfect! (First set is 15 Years Old) I have loved these from the beginning. I purchased my first set from Lands' End about 15 years ago. Now, these many years later I convinced my wife to let me purchase another set... and then another. We now have 36 place settings for our large family gatherings. There have been a few reviews on Amazon over the last five years or so stating that these feel cheap and unrefined. Others have suggested that the quality of the flatware may have changed over time as they have loved their original sets. As one who has owned both a vintage set and now two new sets, I can say that this is not the case. While the soup spoons and a few of the extra items (I don't remember which) do not nest well with their older counterparts, little else seems to have changed. After 15 years of use, here are the advantages and disadvantages as I have seen them: Pros: - Timeless, elegant design (I often receive compliments from guests.) - Sturdy, with a solid feel, great weight and good polish - Durable, My original flatware is still running strong after 15 years and looks great. Sure, they're not as shiny as my two new sets, but that's to be expected. - The knives cut through food and meat better than most flatware I've used. Cons: - The knives may develop small rust spots if you use a Bosch dishwasher that relies on hot-water/condensation drying (no heating element) AND do not immediately remove the flatware (per the instructions). As well as I can remember, I did not have this problem with the first dishwasher. If you do a quick online search, this seems to be a problem with many if not most types of flatware. - QC is somewhat of an issue. I have a few items I'll be exchanging for small imperfections, but I have no question I'll get good C/S. - If you're buying these to compliment your old set, the soup spoons (and salad forks, I think) as well as a few of the extra utensils may not seat well together. - For me, the Soup spoons are too large to be used as anything other than serving spoons (Perhaps our son will use them when he's a teenager???). Finally, there are two versions of this flatware, 18/10 and 18/0. My experience has solely been with the 18/10 flatware. I wonder whether the negative reviews might be associated more with the 18/0 set but really don't know. One more thing, the very best prices for this set are through Mikasa with a 20% off coupon. At $120 a set, this is a steal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mirror finish - nice weight! Worth the price.... Purchase this set for my annual Christmas party - they didn't disappoint! I was missing several pieces from my old set of a similar style that I had purchase over 20 years ago. My old set was smaller in statue ...It took me a little bit of time and use of them to get accustomed to the larger size. Now I love them! They look very elegant and expensive! Nice weight- clean simple lines - I only wish the dinner forks were not quite so large...knives are nice and sharp for meat cutting -mirror finish - cleans up nicely in the dishwasher...Customer service pointed me in the right direction - this was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks Guys!
